I am interested in bringing AI capabilities into everyday physical environments to augment human abilities and cognitions. I frame my research in an intelligence-infused reality:

Research space

I approach this vision through 2 mutually-reinforcing aspects:

  • (1) Integration: Enhance or develop interfaces situated in everyday environments (e.g., robotics, extended reality, and tangible interfaces) with AI-backed systems to enable new interactive dimensions;
  • (2) Interactivity: Orchestrate interaction dynamics (e.g., proactivity, timing, and intensity) grounded in user and context understanding to ensure adaptive system behavior.
